WWSU 106.9 FM Rates for Fall 2016 (unofficial)
WWSU is a non-profit organization that allows Wright State University to provide a valuable service to the community, which makes all sponsorships and donations tax deductible. We offer affordable sponsorships that are significantly less expensive than conventional advertising offered by commercial radio stations. Through your sponsorship of WWSU, you build an identity with the Wright State community. Donations made for your sponsorships support the hands-on training that WWSU provides students of Wright State University. Here are our current packages and rates for advertising on WWSU Radio:
Underwritings are audio spots that routinely air on WWSU Radio's airwaves. If you choose an underwriting package, WWSU will voice and produce your underwriting at no cost to you. You may also choose to make your own spot. However, they must be saved as an MP3 file.
|Individual Spot||1 spot (does not include sporting and recreational events hosted by the arena)||$10|
|Weekly Spot (Standard Package)||1 week with 21 radio spots (3 spots per day)||$210|
|Quarter Package||4 weeks with 84 spots (3 spots per day)||$560|
|Elite Package||8 weeks with 168 spots (3 spots per day)||$1,120|
|Total Package||12 weeks with 252 spots (3 spots per day)||$1,680|
|Wright Choice Package||16 weeks with 336 spots (3 spots per day)||$2,240|
|Raider Package (New!)||any 3 days in a row with 3 spots per day (recommended for one-time events)||$60|
Multiply your package: Is 3 spots per day not enough? You can multiply the number of spots in any package by up to 8 times. The price of the package will be multiplied by the same number of times. For instance, if you want your spot aired every hour, multiply any package's number of spots and its price by 8 times for a total of 24 spots per day.
Rules and Guidelines: Spots must be at least 10 seconds long and no longer than 60 seconds. They must be saved as an MP3 file. Spots must not include any mentions of prices nor discounts. Spots must also not include any calls to action (eg. "Buy our products"), nor any comparative language (eg. "We're the best restaurant in town"). Prices and discounts can, however, appear on our website and at promotional tables. Spots created that do not meet these guidelines can be rejected by WWSU.
Example Underwriting Script: "Programming on WWSU 106.9 is brought to you in part by Your Brand Here on Name Road in City. Your Brand Here features made-to-order deli sandwiches, along with a variety of salads, soups, and side dishes. Locally owned and operated since 1999, Your Brand Here is open until 3am on Friday and Saturday with delivery service available to the Wright State campus and surrounding area. For more information and to check out their menu, go to www.example.com or call 000-0000. WWSU would like to thank Your Brand Here for their continued support."
In addition to underwritings, you may also choose to sponsor one of our personality's radio programs. A sponsorship of a radio program is similar to an underwriting in that you will have mentions on the air of your local business or organization. The only difference is that the mention occurs during a radio program contractually agreed on, opposed to random times of the day like an Underwriting would be.
Rate: For $30 per episode of the program you sponsor, the DJ or personality of the program you sponsor will make 2 mentions of your local business or organization on their show.
Rules: All rules for underwritings also apply to show sponsorship. In addition, a show sponsorship must be contractually agreed on between you and the program's host in order to be their sponsor.
